VI.    Presentations

We appreciate the interest of anyone in participating in the Cincinnati SharePoint user group.  We welcome any one who is interested in growing this user group through various ways of participation.  To keep the focus of sharing ideas as opposed to product marketing, here are the guidelines for a vendor presentation

1.       The presentation topic must be SharePoint related

2.       In each meeting, there will be two presentations - one leans toward business value and the other would be technical value

3.       Vendor presentation must provide information and how to's and we discourage any form of marketing or sales pitch of any product or service in the presentation.

4.       We would need a bio of the speaker, abstract of the presentation and the presentation itself for the user group's leaders’ review at least 2 weeks in advance. These documents can be forwarded to point2share@gmail.com

5.       We usually try to tie the business value topic with the technical value topic.

6.       We will publish your presentation and abstract to the website.

Other options for vendors to be introduced to the group would be for the vendor to sponsor the month's meeting. The vendor would sponsor the food and may also provide give aways, a way to remember the vendor. The vendor will be given 5 minutes to introduce himself to the group. Throughout the night, we will also repeatedly thank the vendor for its sponsorship.
